1. Overview
Verbier’s luxury chalets offer some of the most private and refined mountain escapes in Europe, and Conde Nast Traveler consistently ranks Verbier as the continent’s best ski resort. However, the appeal extends well beyond winter. The region draws visitors year-round with over 300 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails, the world-renowned Verbier Festival for classical music lovers, golf, aero-sports, and gondola rides to dramatic alpine summits. Day trip options are equally compelling. For example, guests can visit the St. Bernard Dog Museum, paddleboard on Champex Lac, or soak at Lavey Les Bains. That outdoor thermal spa draws its water from the hottest natural spring in Switzerland.

For travelers seeking total privacy alongside impeccable service, a private chalet is the defining luxury in Verbier. Verbier Exclusive, part of the Eterniti group, manages 21 chalets across the resort. As our guide to luxury French villas illustrates, private European estates offer a level of seclusion that no hotel can replicate. Similarly, the top luxury hotel suites of Gstaad, Switzerland demonstrate what refined alpine hospitality looks like nearby. Chalets Milou, Pierre Avoi, and Daphne are available on a self-catered basis for summer. Each includes mid-week housekeeping, in-resort concierge service, dedicated pre-arrival planning, and Bamford Organic Bath and Body products. A private chef can also be arranged. Chalet Chouqui, detailed below, offers a more comprehensive catered service.
2. Chalet Choqui
16 + 4 guests, 9 bedrooms
Chalet Chouqui spans 10,227 square feet across two connected chalets. A leading London interiors specialist designed and furnished the property throughout. The result is a truly exceptional alpine retreat. Key amenities include a stunning 15-meter private indoor pool, two sitting rooms with open fireplaces, a wood-paneled private dining room, a bar and wine cellar, a cinema room, and a fully equipped gym. That indoor pool ranks among the largest private pools in Verbier.

The spa facilities extend well beyond the pool. A hammam connects directly to an outdoor sunken hot tub, which many consider to offer the best views of any hot tub in the resort. Furthermore, the interior design sets Chouqui apart from other chalets in Verbier. Herringbone tweeds, faux furs, bespoke artwork, custom-made English furniture, and reclaimed wood give the property a rich and authentic alpine character.

Nine ensuite bedrooms each include a private terrace or balcony. The master bedroom features a super-king four-poster bed. It offers sweeping views over Verbier and the mountains beyond. Seven additional bedrooms can each be configured as twin or super-king, providing flexible options for families and large groups. Moreover, a bespoke quad bunk room offers ideal accommodation for children.

The south-facing terrace delivers uninterrupted views across to the Grand Combin. Outdoor sofas, sun loungers, and a vast fire pit make it a natural gathering space. In winter, the terrace regularly hosts a hand-built snow bar, welcoming guests back from a day on the mountain.

Chouqui operates on a fully catered service. A highly experienced team provides daily breakfast and a choice of lunch or dinner on five days per week. Early children’s supper is available on request. Daily housekeeping is included, as are in-resort concierge services and pre-arrival planning. Food and drink are charged at cost.
3. Chalet Milou
12 guests, 6 bedrooms
Chalet Milou takes its name from the original French name for Tintin’s dog, Snowy. It sits just above the Medran lift station, giving guests a prime ski-in position with stunning valley views. The piste is just 100 meters away.

The location on Chemin de Clambin means guests can ski directly back to the door in winter. Additionally, the piste above Medran is just a two-minute walk in the morning, or guests can use the in-resort driving service instead. The 4,850-square-foot chalet uses reclaimed wood throughout its traditional construction. That design choice gives it a wonderfully rustic feel, while modern amenities ensure every comfort.

An extensive balcony runs the full length of the property. The hot tub sits in a completely private position, carefully placed to maximize the surrounding views. Access runs through a small spa area that functions equally well as a yoga or treatment room. A hammam and private shower are also available in that space.

The open-plan living area is generous and light-filled. It features expansive valley views, a large soft seating area, a dining table for twelve, and a quiet office corner. Double-height ceilings and oversized picture windows add a strong sense of openness. Above, a glassed-off TV mezzanine provides a quiet retreat for reading, watching television, or listening to music. A second large sitting room at the opposite end of the chalet works well for teenagers or younger children. That room shares the same stunning views and connects to the outdoor terrace via the ground floor.
4. Chalet Pierre Avoi
14 guests, 7 bedrooms
Chalet Pierre Avoi sits in the secluded Plan-Praz area of Verbier. At 4,036 square feet, it offers an intimate mountain retreat with genuine privacy. Modern artworks adorn the natural mineral walls, and elegant furniture fills every room throughout the chalet.

The double-height living area forms the heart of the property. A stone fireplace anchors the space, while floor-to-ceiling windows open onto a large south and southwest-facing decked terrace. After a long day on the trails, the outdoor hot tub provides the perfect place to relax. Views of the Combins and the Mont Blanc Massif stretch out in every direction. Alternatively, guests can book a treatment in the dedicated massage room or use the sauna.

A second sitting room sits downstairs. It works particularly well for children, with a large screen and games consoles available.

The versatile room configurations make Pierre Avoi suitable for families, groups of friends, and corporate retreats alike. Furthermore, the resort center and the main lift stations of Medran and Savoleyres are just a three-minute chauffeured drive away.
5. Chalet Daphne
10 guests, 5 bedrooms
Chalet Daphne is a 3,229-square-foot free-standing property in the heart of Verbier. It offers five beautifully appointed bedrooms, a chic alpine interior, and a full suite of contemporary amenities. South-facing balconies capture the sun throughout the day, and mountain views are visible from every aspect of the chalet.

The entrance hall opens into a bright open-plan living space. A contemporary fireplace, a dining table, a fully equipped kitchen, and a generous sofa create a welcoming environment for guests to enjoy after a day outdoors. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the room with natural light. Additionally, the mountain panorama is visible from every angle inside the space.

The master suite occupies the entire top floor. French windows open directly onto a private balcony with open mountain views. Four additional ensuite bedrooms spread across the remaining two floors, each with its own distinctive style and character. The chalet also includes a hammam, a ski room, and private laundry facilities. Moreover, the resort center is just a three-minute walk away, placing shops, bars, and restaurants within easy reach. That convenience makes the self-catered format particularly practical for guests.
