1. Rock House, Turks and Caicos
The latest creation by Grace Bay Resorts, Rock House features the longest infinity pool in Turks and Caicos, this 100-foot pool sits dramatically on a 25-foot limestone cliff overlooking a dramatic secluded beach reminiscent of the French Riviera. This all-residential resort estate will upon completion feature 40 fully serviced homes with private pools, uber-modern style, and full hotel services.
2. Kimpton, Roatan
Located off the shore of Honduras, the sleepy island of Roatan is getting a wake-up call with the addition of the trendy Kimpton that will deliver its edgy lifestyle concept with 126 guest rooms (including 43 suites) and amenities like a rooftop sky bar with a glass-fronted pool.
3. The Ritz-Carlton, Mexico City
Offering striking views of Chapultepec Park, the Ritz-Carlton’s 153 rooms are among the highest in the city. The hotel is located in the heart of the burgeoning financial center. (July, 2021)
4. Carl Gustaf, St. Barts
Set just above the boutiques and marina of Gustavia, Barriere’s revived Carl Gustaf reopens after three years, with a boutique, residential concept with 23 hillside rooms overlooking the port. Guests have exclusive access to famed Shellona Beach. (January, 2021)
5. Rosewood Le Guanahani, St. Barts
Late next autumn, Le Guanahani expects to relaunch its updated version of the classic Caribbean chic as a Rosewood, with its extensive spa, beachfront restaurant, and the only kids club on the island. (Spring, 2021)
6. Valley Trunk, Virgin Gorda
This villa resort in Virgin Gorda comes with a complete staff and resort facilities. Available for buy-outs only, Valley Trunk has been fully restored to its polished glory following near destruction by Hurricane Irma.
7. Paradero Todos Santos – Baja Sur, Mexico
Located 1 ½ hours northwest of Cabos San Lucas, the Paradero is a desert eco-resort perfect to spot Wile e Coyote. Each of the six treehouse accommodations are done up in an organic-bohemian style, overlook the cacti-laden desert and distant sea. But this is not a place to come to just sit on the beach. It is an incredible base camp for desert explorations by mountain bike, hike, surf, hummer, or ATV. Guests can participate in farming, foraging, gardening in the 100,000 sq. ft. desert garden, and even preparing their own farm-to-table dinner.
8. Four Seasons Resort Tamarindo, México
Located in a protected eco-reserve along Mexico’s Pacific Coast just outside Manzanillo this 155 room eco-resort from Four Seasons will boast a lush 18-hole, par 72, Robert Trent Jones Jr. and David Fleming designed links golf course. Rooms are terraced down the lush mountainside with exceptional panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean with its own small, though dramatically set private beach. (Q4, 2021)
9. Susurros Del Corazón, Auberge Collection
About 30 miles from Puerto Vallarta, overlooking Banderas Bay Susurros Del Corazón is set to be the premier boutique resort in the Punta de Mita peninsula (Fall 2021), each of the 30 residences and 59 rooms features private outdoor living space and ocean views. The modern facades are met with airy interiors featuring indigenous, light-colored woods and fabrics giving them a boho-chic feel, a nod to the laid-back culture of the coastline. Facilities include 3 pools, an impressive spa, and a kids club.
10. Etereo, Auberge Collection, Riviera Maya
Auberge Resorts’ first outpost on Mexico’s Eastern Coast, will boat 85 contemporary guesthouses all with plunge pools and ocean views, which is quite unique in the area. Set alongside a pristine beach, the resort features an Auberge Spa, two restaurants, and pools all laid out among a collection of painted coral stone structures that seemingly float above mangroves and designed with modern Mayan style with a highly residential feel. 11. The St. Regis Bermuda Resort
Just outside historic St. George, this 120-room beachfront resort is uniquely situated with buildings just steps from the sand and two beachfront pools. Fusing contemporary design with classic Bermuda style, St. Regis is poised to become Bermuda’s crowd-pleasing luxury beachfront resort. Most coveted will be its 18–hole Robert Trent Jones Jr golf course which compliments St. Regis’s first-ever casino as well as an Iridium Spa and St. Regis Kids Club. (April, 2021)
