1. Overview

Hidden behind a thicket of foliage and nestled amongst stands of palms, Casa del Oso is in a gated community overlooking Bahia de Banderas about four miles from Four Seasons Punta Mita, if you are looking for a landmark. 

It’s designed to accommodate family reunions, corporate incentive travel, birthday parties, special occasion celebrations, and groups of couples up to 30 guests. There are 10 bedrooms spread over 60,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor living space.

Beginning with pre-trip planning, transfers from Puerto Vallarta International airport (about 40 miles south), to on- and off-property activities, the staff of 14, including two concierges, a 24- hour butler, a villa manager, chef and kitchen assistants, servers, bartenders, housekeepers and a laundress provide can provide you everything and anything you need at any time.

From the 130 ft. long infinity pool, enjoy 180-degree views of Bandera Bay. Steps from the deck, dining palapa and palapa bar, it features a 12 ft. deep end, allowing for a consistently cool temperature.

Adjacent to the pool is a heated, jetted pool, which is ideal for cool evenings. Relax in a sun lounger as the staff prepares your favorite libations and gourmet snacks.

In the evening, gather under the beachfront palapa at the palapa bar and lounge, in the 20-guest formal dining room or the 10-guest wine cellar to enjoy meals prepared to your dietary specifications.

The chef sources fare through local ranchers, fishermen, and suppliers he personally knows. Both the chef – and in advance the team at Elegant Mexico – can make any provisions you require.

For distractions, there is a championship Brunswick Gold Crown V billiards table, a customized wood ping-pong table, a six-player card table, a two-lane bowling alley, a golf simulator, and a movie theater with a 110-inch screen.

That’s not all, Casa del Oso’s spa has two full-time, St. Regis-trained estheticians/massage therapists, twin massage tables, two manicure and pedicure stations, and salon and skincare products.

There’s also a steam room, infrared dry sauna, and refreshing cold-water plunge pool. Keep your routines with the private yoga studio and fully equipped gym. 

2.  Accommodations

Of Casa del Oso’s ten bedrooms, two are spacious Master Suites. Four suites feature King beds, two suites have a pair of Queen beds and two bedrooms are set up with Twin Queen bunk beds.

All of the beautifully furnished rooms have an ensuite bathroom, private terrace or balcony, air conditioning, and entertainment provided by a large, flat-screen with Apple TV and a Sonos soundbar.

3. Off-Site Activities

If you want to leave, there is golf, tennis, and sport fishing minutes away. Just ask if the concierge or Elegant Mexico can make arrangements when you book.

Fishing

Why Wouldn’t We is a 2014 60 feet long convertible sport fisherman yacht powered by twin 1,825 horsepower Cat C-32 engines. The boat is capable of a 40 mph cruising speed and an extended top-end running speed up to 50 mph. It’s perfect for fishing, including marlin, sailfish, giant yellowfin tuna, mahi-mahi, and wahoo.

Golf

Punta Mita features 36 holes of Jack Nicklaus Signature golf. The course is ranked 7th in Mexico by Top 100 Golf Courses. Set on 380 acres of peninsula bordered by both the Pacific Ocean and Banderas Bay, it’s a spectacular setting.

Tennis

The concierge can arrange a time at Punta Mita’s Tennis Club 10 courts. The tennis club consists of five hard and five artificial grass courts under the direction of Peter Burwash International’s Miguel Lopez. Originally from Guanajuato, Mexico, Lopez went on to play for Limestone College in South Carolina, where he captained the squad and played No. 1 singles and doubles. He also earned the MVP and Sportsmanship Awards in consecutive years
