What’s New at Wynn Las Vegas This Summer

The summer season means new offerings from the most highly awarded independent hotel company in the world. Wynn Las Vegas has been very busy of late with a series of major reveals to delight both devoted guests and those booking their first stay. This season, keep an eye out for three major moments with new accommodations, new cocktail experiences, and back-to-back evenings of comedy—and a packed July entertainment schedule—you won’t want to miss.

Check-In

As the largest and most extensive design evolution in its almost two-decade-long history, 2,600 guest rooms at Wynn Las Vegas have been transformed by Todd-Avery Lenahan, President and Chief Creative Officer of Wynn Design and Development. The new design concept features luxury guest accommodations across Wynn Las Vegas and Wynn Tower Suites, as well as elevator lobbies and resort tower corridors, all of which will be completed by June.

The intuitive room design provides a more integrated experience, giving guests greater control and choice over how they wish their room to function as they relax, enjoy, work, and entertain during their stay. Using a soothing palette of soft hues, layers of patterns, and textures, each room features wood accent walls, functional and atmospheric illumination, luxurious textiles and linens, and touches of natural stone, decorative metal, and original artwork. New furniture, fixtures, lighting, and artwork were either custom designed by Lenahan or commissioned from global master artisans.

Exclusive to the Wynn Tower Suites are dramatic four-poster canopy beds, a collection of commissioned artworks consisting of refined, modern pieces, as well as a lighting design created to enhance the ambient experience both day and night.

Each guest room, from the standard 640 square feet Wynn Resort King to the 1,817 square feet Wynn Tower Suite Salon, offers a retreat-like environment with a decidedly residential feel. The most notable change includes a reconfiguration of the washroom in the standard guest room to introduce separate vanities and double the storage space; an expanded dressing area with mirrored walls and an upgraded closet with a new wardrobe; and an extended multi-purpose table in the main living room for working and dining. Additional power and data ports and advanced touchless in-room technologies complete the project.

Sip a Cocktail

After checking into the newest accommodations on the Strip, head down to the Lake of Dreams for the recently debuted Cocktail Collection. With last fall’s opening of Overlook Lounge, Bar Parasol and Aft Cocktail Deck now round out the trifecta of distinctive lounges at Wynn, each featuring an elevated craft cocktail program.

Located in the heart of the resort, the new lounges were also designed by Lenahan and feature inventive cocktail menus from resort mixologist Mariena Mercer Boarini.

Located on an outdoor patio overlooking the water, Aft Cocktail Deck is inspired by the parties on the decks of superyachts, offering guests a prime location for viewing Wynn’s signature Lake of Dreams show. Sporting a classic nautical color scheme of blue, white, and periwinkle, Aft Cocktail Deck features swivel deck chairs, luxe banquettes, and nautical flags which spell out “Wynn LV” flying overhead. Umbrella coverage is offered in the spring and summer months, and seat warmers in the cooler months creating a comfortable environment for the year-round waterside experience.

At Aft Cocktail Deck, guests can enjoy inventive cocktails such as the Turks & Caicos, a guava mojito with Bacardi Tropical Rum, pink guava, passionfruit, mint, fresh lime, and sugarcane; the Monaco, a seaside spritz with Belvedere Lemon Basil Organic Vodka, St Germain Elderflower Liqueur, lemon verbena, fresh lemon juice, ginger, butterfly pea blossom and finished with a spritz of Mediterranean Sea inspired edible parfume; and the Ibiza, a take on the classic Spanish carajillo made with Madagascar Vanilla–infused Absolut Elyx Vodka, Kahlua Blonde Roast Coffee Liqueur, Licor43, and cold brew espresso.

For guests looking for late-night fun, Aft Cocktail Deck offers party elements, including bottle service after 11 p.m. and the Yacht Rock cocktail, a presentation of Veuve Clicquot with a mini Chambong. Light bites including tuna tartare, beef carpaccio, seafood platters, and more are also available.

Aft Cocktail Deck is open Sunday through Thursday from noon to 1 a.m. and Friday and Saturday from noon to 4 a.m.

At Bar Parasol, guests can enjoy small dishes, caviar, and creative cocktails. Elements such as rock crystal lamps, couture passementerie, and tiles gilded in 24-karat gold complement the garden-inspired color scheme and add a new level of opulence to the venue, while the addition of greenery creates a boundary from the surrounding resort and a heightened sense of intimacy.

Like Aft Cocktail Deck, the cocktail menu at Bar Parasol takes inspiration from iconic global destinations with offerings like the Havana, a rum take on the Old Fashioned for two made with El Dorado 12 Year Rum, Bacardi 8 Rum, Amaro Meletti, cardamom and cassia and finished tableside with cherry wood smoke (pictured above); the Catalina, a Verde Bloody Mary with Grey Goose Vodka, Ancho Reyes Verde Chile Liqueur, house-made heirloom green tomato Bloody Mary mix, green apple, pineapple and seaside accouterments; and the Jet Set, a bump of Kolikof Premium Sturgeon Caviar served alongside a shot of Perrier Jouët Champagne. Guests can also take a “flight” at Bar Parasol by enjoying a tasting of Champagne or vodka with two tier choices for either: First Class and Upper Deck.

Bar Parasol is open Sunday through Thursday from noon to 1 a.m. and Friday and Saturday from noon to 2 a.m. Caviar-inspired bites are served daily from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
