11 Days Chile & Argentina Natural Wonders

By Emmanuel Burgio, Blue Parallel

1. Overview

Distance, inconvenient airports, and limited airline flights can add unnecessary hours and days of travel, making it harder to see all the places you want to visit. That’s why Blue Parallel created private jet journeys.

Unlike group private jet trips with as many as 50 people, these are truly private jet trips built around the places you want to explore and experience. We can plan the trip using your private jet or help charter a jet for your trip.

Flying in a small private plane removes the usual constraints of distance and connectivity, allowing seamless transitions between iconic landmarks and untouched wilderness. Whether you want to journey deep into the wildlife kingdoms of Brazil, trace ancient trails through South America, explore the rugged landscapes of Patagonia, or unlock unique cultural experiences through Central America, our luxury jet tours through Latin America prioritize deeper exploration while preserving time, comfort, and privacy.

Our small private jet journeys are enhanced by the invaluable relationships we have with renowned chefs, esteemed scholars, acclaimed artists, directors of landmarks, and more, allowing you to enjoy the most intriguing insider experiences.

2. The Itinerary

Day 1–3 – Atacama Desert

Unearthly landscapes and stargazing shine there, in the world’s driest and oldest desert.

Arrive at Santiago International Airport to meet VIP assistance and be escorted through the airport to board your small private jet to Calama, northern Chile, an hour-and-45-minute flight. Upon arrival, be greeted and taken by private transfer to your luxury lodge, an hour and 15 minutes away.

Other than the poles, the Atacama Desert is the driest place in the world, and the oasis community of San Pedro de Atacama is 8,000 feet above sea level. From there, see the dry red land, with the cordillera bordering Bolivia and Argentina, made up of striking volcanoes perched on the high plateau under a dry, cloudless sky.

Explore the Atacama Desert through daily excursions and outdoor adventures. Visit the salt flats, which reflect the surrounding volcanoes and are dotted with flamingos.

Trek through the Valley of the Moon to see the rocky cliffs and rolling dunes, with your afternoon ending in a sunset over the valley. Watching the sunset, enjoy hors d’oeuvres and cocktails over the sun-kissed valley.  On one day, enjoy biking through the Devil’s Throat as you wind your way through the narrow desert canyons.

Return to your lodge each afternoon to relax in the pool or walk the historic town of San Pedro de Atacama. In the evenings, visit the property observatory and use a high-powered telescope to stargaze in one of Earth’s clearest skies. Accompanied by a professional astronomer, enjoy exclusive access to a private observatory to view constellations and learn more about deep-space phenomena unique to the Atacama.

Accommodation: Awasi Atacama

Located a short walk from the main square of San Pedro de Atacama, Awasi Atacama lets guests experience life in a 3,000-year-old town. Built using traditional techniques and local materials such as adobe, stone, and wood, Awasi Atacama has only 12 rooms for an intimate, relaxed setting.

Day 4-6 Torres del Paine

Chile’s world-renowned national park, boasting lakes, rivers, glaciers, and towering mountains.

After breakfast and check-out, you will be greeted and transferred privately to Calama Airport for your flight to Puerto Natales (4 hours 25 minutes). Upon arrival, meet your personal host and take a private transfer to Torres del Paine National Park, an hour-and-a-half trip.

At Tierra Patagonia, explore the park and its surroundings on private trips with a naturalist guide by vehicle, horseback, boat, and on foot along hiking trails to spectacular lookout points.

In the evenings, relax in the property pool or with a massage at the lodge’s spa, followed by delicious dinners.

During your excursions, enjoy the park’s beauty and wildlife spotting, including condors, guanacos, foxes, and elusive pumas!

You can also explore the French Valley, crossing Pehoé Lake by boat and hiking on winding trails beside the Cuernos del Paine, an icon of the national park, until you reach the overlook of the French Glacier.

For the adventurous, there is also the strenuous hike to the Base of the Torres, another iconic hike with memorable views of the Towers.

Accommodation: Tierra Patagonia Hotel & Spa

This luxurious hotel sits on a bluff, where the pampas meet Lake Sarmiento, with the Torres del Paine peaks beyond. Enjoy delicious cuisine and spa facilities set within Patagonian décor, including hand-crafted furnishings and local, natural materials.

Day 7-8 El Calafate

Wild landscapes line the gateway to Los Glaciares National Park, home to Perito Moreno Glacier. After breakfast and check-out, meet your personal host and transfer privately to Puerto Natales (an hour-and-a-half ride), then fly to El Calafate (another half hour). Upon arrival in El Calafate, you’ll meet your guide at the airport, who will accompany you to your luxury hotel (a 50-minute transfer). After settling in, savor lunch viewing the Patagonian steppe.

At Eolo, choose between exploring the Anita Valley on horseback or trekking with an expert, private guide. During these activities, absorb the immensity of the Patagonian steppe, the surrounding mountains, and the wildlife. Later, indulge in a gourmet dinner at the lodge with expansive valley views.

The next day, visit the Perito Moreno Glacier, a South American natural wonder and one of the only growing glaciers in the world. Here, ice-trek atop the glacier, traversing towering ice formations, turquoise meltwater creeks, and frozen lagoons. The experience culminates with a whiskey on the rocks, served over glacial ice.

For those who do not walk across the glacier, you can choose a 2-hour boating excursion on Lake Argentino, beside the glacier base, passing huge crevasses, turquoise blue creeks, and icy lagoons.

Your expert private guide will then take you on the catwalks to view the glacier. Return to your accommodation in the late afternoon to relax before dinner.

Accommodation: Eolo

A secluded lodge perched on a hillside overlooking the vast Patagonian steppe. Eolo is modern and inviting, with panoramic windows to take in Patagonia’s rugged landscape. The property features a massage room, outdoor jacuzzi, observation lounge, and an intimate restaurant with a view as the sun sets over the valley.

Day 9-10 Iguazu Falls

The world’s largest waterfall and one of the 7 Natural Wonders, dividing the subtropical jungles of Brazil and Argentina. In the morning, meet your Blue Parallel host and take a private transfer to the airport for your jet to Iguazu Falls, a 4-hour flight. Upon arrival on the Brazilian side of the falls, meet your guide and go by private transfer to your hotel overlooking the waterfalls. On the way there, stop at the nearby helipad for a private ride over the falls, a 10-minute flight.

Afterward, continue to your hotel to relax and enjoy amenities. If your journey aligns with the full moon, enjoy a private moonlight walking tour to witness a lunar rainbow in the mist.

The following day, wake early to meet your expert guide who will take you to explore the Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls. Visit the waterfall catwalks before the park opens to the public. From there, see the expanse where the waterfall tops meet the blue sky.

As you explore the catwalks, you may spot the local wildlife, including parrots, monkeys, or armadillos, in the park’s jungle. After relaxing at your hotel, go by vehicle through the jungle to a private high-speed zodiac for a ride up the currents for an adrenaline-rush tour beneath the falls.

Accommodation: Hotel Das Cataratas

Built in 1958 within Iguazu National Park as a luxury establishment on the Brazilian elevated grounds, Hotel das Cataratas has hosted heads of state and discerning travelers who enjoy sophisticated, classic design, tranquil gardens, and easy access to the falls. The hotel’s two restaurants have creative Brazilian cuisine.

Day 11 International Departure via Buenos Aires

The following day, after checking out of your hotel, cross the border to Iguazu Falls National Park on the Argentine side to explore the upper and lower circuits of many of the falls in the complex.

After lunch, take the train to the Devil’s Throat, the park’s largest waterfall, and marvel at its cascade. A private train carriage will be reserved just for your party. Throughout the day, be accompanied by your expert personal guide, a local who knows the park and will be your resource to enjoy this natural wonder and its surrounding rainforest fully.

After experiencing the falls, you will have a private transfer to the Iguazu Falls airport on the Argentine side for your private jet flight to Buenos Aires International Airport, an hour and 40 minutes. Upon arrival, VIP airport assistance will be provided ahead of your international flight home.
