1. Rosewood Mansion at Turtle Creek
Forbes Travel Guide says, “Situated in the leafy residential area of Turtle Creek, with instant access to Dallas, the lovely Mansion on Turtle Creek retains the ambiance of a distinguished residence. It’s elegant — but unfussy— and exquisitely epitomizes the city’s sense of style.”
Giving it a 4-star rating, Forbes adds, “The lauded Mansion restaurant, set in the former home of cotton and oil magnate Sheppard King, features a low-lit wood-paneled bar with live jazz three nights a week.
“Renovated in 2010, the larger-than-average rooms have a soft, luxurious feel with blond woods, crisp white linens emblazoned with the letter “M,” sand-colored geometric-patterned carpet and dark-peach velvet sofas.
French doors open to private balconies with views of downtown or the tree-lined street below, while the lobby sports a gleaming marble floor and hand-painted wallpaper.”
Penthouse
Located on the top floor of the hotel, the one-of-a-kind Penthouse offers 1,350 square feet of indoor space, including a living room with a dining area for up to six guests, a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with a separate service entry, and a foyer with a guest powder room.
A king bedroom is located beyond mirror-paneled double doors. The suite’s oversized bathroom is styled with Waterworks fixtures and features a dual vanity, soaking tub and oversized walk-in rain shower.
Designed with relaxation and elegant entertaining in mind, the penthouse opens onto a furnished, 1,300-square-foot rooftop terrace with views of the Turtle Creek neighborhood. Combined, the indoor and outdoor living spaces span a total of 2,650 square feet.
Mahogany millwork, white-washed oak floors and intriguing objets d’art contribute to a timeless residential atmosphere.
Rosewood Suite
Also located on the hotel’s top floor, the Rosewood Suite comprises 1,350 square feet of luxurious indoor living space, including a living room with a dining area for up to six guests, a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with a separate service entry, and a foyer with a guest powder room.
The suite’s bathroom features a dual vanity, soaking tub and oversized walk-in rain shower. You also have rooftop terrace spanning 1,175 square feet perfect for a small party or al fresco dining.
2. The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas
Forbes Travel Guide says, “Set in the heart of Dallas, The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas boasts all of the opulence expected from the hotel brand.
Also rated 4-stars, Forbes continues, “Inside the extravagant Regency-style building, a marble-floored, chandeliered lobby gives way to salmon-hued guest rooms decked with the latest in technology. Besides the lavish rooms and suites, this swanky hotel also hosts a 12,000-square-foot luxury spa, a terraced pool area (which feels less Dallas and more Caribbean) and the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Fearing’s Restaurant.”
The Ritz-Carlton Suite
Enjoy panoramic views of Dallas. The 2,385 sq. ft. Ritz-Carlton Suite features a master bedroom with large marble bath and a separate powder room and a spacious living room with vaulted ceilings. The dining room seats up to eight and there are a full kitchen and pantry with separate service entrance. You can also use this top suite as part of 5,500 sq. ft. multi-room Ritz-Carlton Privacy Wing.
3. Four Seasons Resort and Dallas Club at Las Colinas
Forbes Travel Guide says, “Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas is only minutes from downtown Dallas, yet it feels a million miles away. Set on 400 secluded acres, the resort is a sports paradise.

Byron Nelson Suite
The 2,500 sq. ft. Byron Nelson Suite is located on the 9th floor of the main building. With views of the TPC Four Seasons Golf Course and Las Colinas skyline, it offers two bedrooms, a large living room, a wood-burning fireplace, large mahogany dining table, and a corner balcony.
4. The Joule
Forbes Travel Guide says, “The Joule sits in the heart of downtown Dallas’ business district, and with its two-year renovation and expansion completed, it is even more of a zephyr of vibrancy for the area. The main building of the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel occupies a historic structure and distinguishes itself from other façades by its striking swimming pool cantilevered eight feet to overlook Main Street.
“Original marble flooring, elevators, and historic staircases were combined with famed designer Adam Tihany’s contemporary aesthetic, casting a sophisticated and luxurious light through the property.

Penthouse West
This single-story, 2,500 sq.ft. penthouse is ideal for entertaining or to host a small party. Outfitted with two king bedrooms, a large living room and pool table, two outdoor terraces, and a full kitchen with a six-person dining room table, you’ll have trouble getting guests to ever leave. Don’t forget the fireplace or watch TV from your bubble bath.
5. The Adolphus, Autograph Collection
Forbes Travel Guide says, “Situated on the site of the town’s original City Hall, The Adolphus has been a part of the fabric of Dallas life since its opulent doors first opened in 1912. Built by beer magnate Adolphus Busch of Anheuser-Busch fame, the beaux-arts-style building was modeled after a German castle and stands 22 stories over Commerce Street. The grandeur of the elaborate exterior is matched by the interior with its soaring ceilings and works of art that have been in place since day one.
The split-level entrance is where the past meets the present. The historic entry is stately and punctuated with gilded accents, while up the escalator a communal lounge offers a more contemporary space with jewel-toned seating. The two entrances are unified with rich wood paneling.
Guest rooms are spacious with stylish, modern décor. There are three bars and two restaurants on property, including the renowned French Room. New additions to the hotel include a fitness center, the 5,000-square-foot spa and a pool deck that features an unobscured view of downtown.
