1. Bishop’s Lodge, Auberge Resorts Collection, Santa Fe, NM
The newest urban resort in Sante Fe, Bishop’s Lodge is set in an iconic 1920’s resort set on 317 acres in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range. Reimagined by Auberge Resorts, Bishop’s Lodge will reopen with 120 rooms and suites, a full equestrian center, and a large spa. (Q2, 2021).
2. Montage Healdsburg, California
Sprawled across a panoramic 258-acre vineyard, the Montage Healdsburg will feature 130 stand-alone bungalow-style accommodations. The floor to ceiling windows will bring the Winelands into every room. Most bungalows will feature generous outdoor living spaces with firepits and daybeds, while its farm-to-table restaurant flaunts enviable postcard-worthy views of the Sonoma Valley. Family-friendly, it will feature one of the only kids’ clubs in California wine country (January 2021).
3. Pendry, West Hollywood, California
Set in the former House of Blues, this 149-room hotel, part of the lifestyle brand of Montage, pays homage to its setting with a 75-seat cabaret theater. Promising to become a hub of local buzz, the lounge and rooftop pool are complemented with a boutique bowling alley and screening room, with Wolfgang Puck spearheading the slick new food concept. 4. Four Seasons Calistoga, California
Set in a bucolic private vineyard, the 85-room Four Seasons promises to be one of the most exclusive options in Napa Valley. With a full-service spa and extensive kids club, it is also the first resort in Calistoga where weddings can be held overlooking a vineyard.
5. Alila Marea Beach Resort Encinitas
The first Alila resort in the Americas, this 130-room uber-contemporary beach resort is set on a bluff overlooking two beautiful beaches set in a quintessential town on San Diego’s North County Coastal region. The resort will offer an ocean-view restaurant with a rooftop patio, a pool, and signature Asian-inspired Spa Alila along with spectacular wedding and events venues, all with the panoramic Pacific Ocean and lagoon views.
6. Seabird and Mission Pacific, San Diego
Hyatt Hotels opens these two sister oceanfront hotels will open side-by-side in Oceanside, Calif with 387 rooms and suites and over 25,000 sq. ft. of meeting space with a laid-back beach feeling and trendy rooftop bar targeting the local market.
7. The Green O, at Paws Up, Montana
The sleek wood, stone, and glass structures of the green o juxtapose the classic American-West log cabins and pimped out tents on the 37,000-acre Paws Up estate. Each of the 12 “Haus” accommodations is nestled in their own woodland space with floor to ceiling glass walls giving their adult-only guests complete privacy with access to the endless activities of Paws Up.
8. Pendry Park City
At the base of Park City Mountain Resort in the heart of the revitalized Canyons Village, the 152-room Pendry will offer prime ski-in/ski-out access, a trendy rooftop bar, pool, and spa all with a modern-alpine mountain style.
9. Camp Kasbah Aspen
Think Aspen, revisited. Camp Kasbah is a 7-bedroom private adventure camp for sophisticated families and adults. Set on 15 breathtaking acres, consider this14,000 sqft. estate as a private summer camp with camp rangers, a camp director who creates daily adventures while a full culinary staff brings communal dining to a new level (May 2021).
10. The Langham, Boston
When it reopens after a head-to-toe makeover, the Langham will be set to be the most stylish, fresh hotel in the city with a local sense of place. Just blocks from Boston Harbor, contemporary-styled rooms retain historical significance with rich white moldings, pops of New England color and a curated art collection paying homage to Boston’s past. Public spaces will feature shades of green and gold, and several design nods to the building’s banking history as the former Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. Amenities will include a fully outfitted Langham Club lounge on the hotel’s 8th floor, a resigned spa and fitness center, and a destination bar with outdoor space. (May 2021)
11. Amrit Ocean Resort, Singer Island, Palm Beach
This mixed-use wellness beachfront compound is a perfect blend of destination spa with a luxury resort. Guests can choose to stay and relax or join a set destination spa experience focusing on yoga and Indian-inspired wellness with an assigned wellness coach.
12. Ocean House Asbury Park, New Jersey
The sleek glass tower overlooking the storied Asbury Park Boardwalk sites just two blocks from the Morrison Avenue promenade brimming with galleries, boutiques, and cafés. Just 1 ½ hrs. from Manhattan, it is the perfect abode to enjoy the tony beachside towns on the upper Jersey Shore.
13. Hutton Brickyards, Hudson Valley
Set on 73 acres of rolling hills and lush meadows, this sprawling resort’s 31 cabins, and pristine Hudson River setting is juxtaposed by the reclaimed industrial yard that makes up the resort’s spa, restaurant, and events retreat. What’s best is that guests can access the resort from Manhattan by seaplane.
14. Chatwal Catskills Lodge
Nestled within a 30-acre estate with panoramic views over the 1,000-acre Toronto Reservoir Lake, the 12 chic accommodations offer lush hiking trails dotted with bald eagles and pastoral mountains, on-site fly fishing, kayaking, and private music classes. Families will view the 1,000 sq. ft. treehouse of 850 sq. ft. glamping tent (Q3, 2021)
15. Pendry Manhattan West, New York
A new 164-room luxury hotel in the heart of NYC’s buzziest new destination adjacent to Hudson Yards. Fusing Manhattan energy and California ease, the bars and lounges bring a vibrant energy to the newly developed area with a glamorous style and laid-back West Coast ambiance. (June 2021)
16. Six Senses, New York, New York
Six Senses New York debuts its first US property, which will become one of New York’s most extensive wellness sanctuaries. Located in the new XI’s two unique, twisting towers designed by world-renowned architect Bjarke Ingels, the Six Senses is right off the High Line in the heart of Chelsea. (Q4, 2021)
17. The Fifth Avenue Hotel, New York
This architectural darling joins the growing NoMad scene in New York. Set in the 1908 Gilded Age mansion of socialite Charlotte Goodridge with the addition of an adjacent tower, the Fifth will have 182 rooms and suites. There will also be a 5,000 square foot ballroom and a spectacular duplex restaurant with original 30-foot ceilings and arches. (Q4, 2021)
18. Casa Cipriani New York
Set in the historic Beaux-Arts Battery Maritime Ferry Terminal at the base of Downtown Manhattan, this boutique 47 room property will be like nothing else in New York. Rooms have spacious balconies overlooking the Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn as well as access to the first-ever Cipriani private member’s club.
19. High Hampton Inn – Cashiers, North Carolina
Blackberry Farm lovers will rejoice with the opening of this High Hampton Inn, recently bought by the Beall Family who turned Blackberry into a foodie and outdoor nirvana. About one hour outside of Ashville, High Hampton is a private lakefront gated community with exceptional golf and a host of outdoor recreation.
