A Look Inside Seven Seas Grandeur, Regent’s Newest Ultra-Luxury Cruise Ship

Regent Seven Seas, one of the signature cruise lines in the luxury cruise space, officially launched its latest ship, Seven Seas Grandeur, in December. The ship joins the Regent fleet as a sister ship to Seven Seas Splendor and Seven Seas Explorer, two of the premier luxury ships sailing today.

The all-suite ship sails with 746 guests and 548 crew, giving it one of the more generous guest-to-crew ratios in the industry. Aside from an expansive art collection, highlighted by the first Faberge egg to live at sea, the ship comes to market with maybe the deepest suite category of any ship sailing today, particularly one of its size (55,500 gross tons). It also comes to market with a deep roster of culinary choices onboard.

Here’s some of what guests can expect onboard:

Suites

In total, there are 15 different suite categories on Grandeur, ranging from 307 sq. ft. to over 4,400 sq. ft. Here’s a sampling of what’s on offer:

The top offering on Grandeur is the Regent Suite, which clocks in at $11,000 per night and can host up to six guests. The 4,443 sq. ft. suite is totally reimagined for Grandeur with a new master bathroom concept that includes an in-suite spa, a “jewel-box” shower in the center, heated loungers adjacent to the window wall, and a jetted bathtub.

Nine different types of marble are used in the master bathroom to create the dual vanity units, tub, heated loungers, and the floor and walls. The suite also includes a second, separate full bathroom attached to the guest bedroom along with a half-bathroom. The master bedroom in the Regent suite includes a four-poster bed with a Hästens Vividus mattress.

That $11,000 per night price tag includes first-class air, a dedicated personal butler, a personal car with driver and guide in every port, unlimited spa services in the suite, unlimited laundry and dry cleaning, bed linen, and pillow menu, a selection of suite fragrances, one in-suite caviar service, daily canapes, personalized stationery, shoe-shine service, free WiFi, and more.

Chartreuse, a French restaurant, takes design inspiration from 1925 Paris and the Art Deco movement. Its menu includes some class French dishes that you’d find in a typical French bistro including smoked salmon, beef consommé, seafood, and crème brûlée for dessert.

Culinary Arts Kitchen

While not a traditional dining experience, Seven Seas Grandeur, like its sister ships, offers Regent’s signature Culinary Arts Kitchen, a hands-on dining experience where a chef leads guests in a cooking class, inspired by the prestigious French cooking schools. Dishes are typically chosen based on the region the ship is sailing through.

Spa and Gym

The ship offers a two-room gym, with cardio and weight equipment and views overlooking the ocean outside. The gym is attached via a stairway to the ship’s Serene Spa, which offers some of Regent’s signature spa experiences including its Zero Gravity Wellness Massage and Tahitian Hydration Ritual. The spa also includes an aromatic steam room, sauna, cold room, and outside deck with a lounge area and Jacuzzis.

Itineraries

Starting on Jan. 8, Grandeur will sail a 16-night itinerary from Acapulco into Miami via Central America and the Panama Canal. From there, it will depart on a 10-night Western Caribbean and Mexico sailing. It will then remain in the Caribbean after, sailing both Eastern and Western Caribbean sailings.

In April, Grandeur will head on a transatlantic sailing from New York to Barcelona, where it will start its maiden Mediterranean season.
